70MW Wind Farm in Sulawesi

Indonesia is tapping into its renewable energies potential and VINCI Energies deploys its expertise in the country.

The country’s first wind farm, the 70MW Sidrap Wind Project, will be built in South Sulawesi by UPC Renewables, a worldwide developer specialized in wind projects. This work will be financed by OPIC, the U.S. government’s development finance institution.

For this pioneering project in Indonesia UPC have selected Omexom Indonesia (VINCI Energies) to deliver on a design and build basis the electrical balance of plant of the wind farm comprising the electrical gathering system for 30 wind turbine generators, the high voltage substation, and a 150kV transmission line to tap into the national utility’s grid system.
