Omexom is helping to reduce the electrical grids’ carbon footprint in Indonesia’s remote islands

Omexom (Vinci Energies Indonesia) has signed a new contract with Indonesia’s national electrical utility company for the delivery a microgrid system on the remote island of Sangihe, one of Indonesia’s northernmost islands located in the Celebes Sea

Omexom will deliver the Sangihe hybrid power system composed of PV solar power generation and battery energy storage. The renewable energy production and storage capacity will be interfaced with the existing power plant, will limit the dependence on diesel consumption, and will help to reduce the carbon footprint of the local grid system.
