In August 2018 Indonesia’s Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Ibu Rini Soemarno officially inaugurated PLN’s first 150kV system in Papua. This high voltage transmission system allows to deliver energy generated in Holtekamp to Jayapura, the provincial capital of Papua. The system was energized by Omexom Indonesia (Vinci Energies), the contractor which was selected by PLN to build two 150kV/70kV high voltage substations in Holtekamp and Jayapura.

Omexom’s teams carried out design, earthworks and civil works, procurement of all electrical and mechanical equipment, construction and commissioning works to build these two substations.
